I ‘m in the process of making a series of portraits in a studio. It ‘ll be a symmetric composition on a neutral white background. The framing is a bust portrait with bare shoulders.
A device on my camera activates the shutter as soon as the noise level exceeds 90 dB. So, as a photographer I continue to control both light and framing, but not the actual moment of shooting. Each model is requested to shout as loudly as possible, so as to activate the shutter by chance.
The test shooting went quite well. It gives a view of the human face without the person having any control of his or her expression.
The final shooting is planned 7/6/2015 in a studio in downtown Ghent (DOK Koopvaardijlaan – Afrikalaan
9000 Gent) I am looking for people who are willing to participate. Afterwards they ‘ll receive a digital version of the photograph.
